"Good habits, ill habits, gather by unseen degrees. As brooks make rivers, run to seas."
John Dryden
COLLEGE REALITY:
Because the academic work and social issues are demanding, it is easy to neglect sleep, nutritious eating, exercise, and spiritual reflection. Developing healthy habits will keep you moving in the right direction.

SESSION GOAL - Keeping Life in Balance

It has been demonstrated that emphasizing "Wellness" rather than the three D's (Disease, Dysfunction, and Death) is much more effective in influencing college students for the better.

Welllness is defined as the amount of physical and psychological energy a student invests in the college experience with faculty, peer group, academics health, nutrition, exercise, and spiritual pursuits.

Order NowIn college, a large amount of unhealthiness is attributable to a categorically small amount of health related behaviors: smoking, diet, having a sedentary lifestyle, alcohol abuse, and unwise sexual activity.

CTG advises (not lectures) young adults on the benefits and/or consequences of certain behaviors. We have seen it all.

The key principle that is communicated is for college students to learn how to formulate and follow through on healthy and attainable goals. Unrealistic goals cause dissatisfaction and are actually a form of sef-destructive behavior.
